Kepong is a town in Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur region. Given that a mountain range surrounds the town, the name is a Malay term that means "Enclose" or "Surround." The Forest Reserve Institute of Malaysia (FRIM) is nearby for those who enjoy the outdoors. For all levels of fitness, FRIM is ideal for waterfalls, trekking, strolling, or spending a picnic under the shade of trees. Kepong has several alternatives for access and departure highways and is well linked. Kepong is connected to neighbouring regions including Subang Jaya, Cheras, and Ampang by major roads and highways such the MRR2 and Damansara-Puchong Motorway (LDP). The KTM komuter line provides service to Kepong in terms of public transportation. The proposed MRT 2 Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) would increase accessibility to Kepong and may raise property values.
